THE RAPTURE - ARE YOU READY?

I don't know of anyone, who is a true Christian, that isn't looking forward to the Rapture!

As this world grows darker, our hope of Jesus rescuing us from the horrors to come grows even stronger. We wait, wondering how much longer we can endure all of this.

But what if I told you that there could be a chance that you might be 'left behind' because of something you have neglected? You might scoff, saying that once saved, always saved...right?

This morning, as I was waking up from a great sleep last night, a scripture popped in my head. I knew it was the Holy Spirit, as He does this when I first wake up and have no thoughts of my own forming in my head yet. This is the scripture...

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."
1 Corinthians 6:19

You may say, I don't do any bad things with my body. I don't sin sexually, etc. But what I need to ask you is, what are you feeding your body in the way of food? Junk food, foods laced with chemicals, pesticides, bad fats, too much sugar, etc? If so, you are killing your body slowly, but surely. So many foods now are being found with deadly ingredients in them...PFAs; pesticides, including chlormequat; high fructose corn syrup; and more. Would you put an inferior gasoline into your new car? Not if you want it to last. Why would your body be any different? Our Lord designed it to last, if we put the right fuels into it. If we don't do this, I am sorry to say that we are not honoring the Lord with our bodies. It is sinful, as our bodies are the home of the Holy Spirit within us. This also applies to what we listen to, and what we speak. The word says not the grieve the Holy Spirit.

"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."
Ephesians 4:30

What has this got to do with the Rapture, you may ask? I would like to call your attention to another scripture that came to me this morning...

"At that time the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!" Then all the bridesmaids woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.' 
'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some yourselves.'
But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The bridesmaids who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later the others also came. 'Lord, Lord,' they said, 'open the door for us!' But he replied, 'Truly I tell you, I don't know you.'
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour (when He will come)."  Matthew 25:1-13

Notice that the wise bridesmaids kept their lamps trimmed. They kept them functional, so they would be ready at a moment's notice. They trimmed the parts that were no longer usable with their lamps (got rid of them). So too, we should rid ourselves of those things that hinder our walk with the Lord...our Christian lives should be functional at all times...ready in the 'twinkling of an eye' for Jesus to take us out of here. If we are not doing what He has told us, then we are not following Him, and He will say that He doesn't know us. Yes, we are born-again Christians, bought with a price (His death), but if we don't follow Him after accepting Him...are we truly 'saved?'

I'm not saying that if you miss the Rapture, that you are doomed for eternity. Even if you miss it, you would still be able to repent and follow Him. But let's get real...do you really want to go through the Tribulation? It will be the most horrible time that this Earth has ever seen! I am including a video below to give you a taste of it. I asked the Holy Spirit after watching it, "Will it really be this bad?" He replied, "Worse!" I don't want to be here.

All of this is not to condemn, but to encourage you to take care of your body. It is a sacred thing. The Lord needs you in these last days, to do the things that only you can do for Him! But if you are sick and not healthy, you won't be able to do these things effectively, and there's a possibility that souls may go to hell because of it. You don't want to be responsible for that!

He is coming for a Church without 'spot or wrinkle'...

"That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
Ephesians 5:27
