Prepare the Way of the Lord, Make His Paths Straight




 ‘Prepare the Way of the Lord,
Make His Paths Straight.'


Do you feel that the Lord is tarrying in His return for us? Where is the promise of His return?

In Matthew 3:3, John the Baptist..."the voice of one crying in the wilderness" said, "Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight." 

Are we preparing His way? He is coming for a church without spot or wrinkle. Are we fulfilling His commands?


What is His great command to the church? "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. The one who has believed and has been baptized (in the Holy Spirit) will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned." Mark 16:15-16

Are you working for Him right now...or are you sitting and waiting for Him to return? Listen to the Holy Spirit within you and do what He asks you to do. How will you know that it's the Holy Spirit? He will never ask you to do anything that doesn't line up with the Word of God (Bible). He does not speak on His own, but says what the Lord is saying.

If you truly are wanting the Lord to return, then you will want Him to find you working and doing His will when He comes. We must reach the lost. The quicker that we get the job done, the quicker it will be for His return. 

"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 
2 Peter 3:9

  You may have heard about the huge storm that has been affecting the U.S. recently. It is covering an area that spans from the East Coast to the West Coast! As it moved southward, the Southern part of California began to feel the fury of this storm.  It began with lots of rain. Flood Alerts, Wind Alerts, and even Snow Alerts with Blizzard Warnings were issued. This is pretty much unheard of in our area. The first day it started raining off and on, heavy at times, but nothing really unusual. On Day 2, we saw more consistent rain, but still not that much out of the ordinary, with winds blowing off and on. I went to take the trash out on Day 1, as it was supposed to be worse the next day. As I neared the trash dumpster the wind starting picking up. By the time I got to the dumpster it was blowing my clothing so violently, that I almost had  my dress  blowing up in my face! I wondered how I was going to manage my clothing while I was lifting the large trash bag up above...

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Very Joyous Christmas! What would our life be like if Jesus never came to earth to rescue us? We would be at the mercy of our Biblical enemy...who has no mercy. But He did come to rescue us, with the blessing of Father God! He overcame death, hell and the grave...and shall reign as King of kings & Lord of lords, forever!  He came to us born in poverty...in a stable, not a palace. He left the glory of Heaven to live in poverty and die a criminal's death...for us. Is it too much to ask that we would thank Him and accept this gift from Him? I don't know of anyone, who is a true Christian, that isn't looking forward to the Rapture! As this world grows darker, our hope of Jesus rescuing us from the horrors to come grows even stronger. We wait, wondering how much longer we can endure all of this. But what if I told you that there could be a chance that you might be 'left behind' because of something you have neglected?
